Anand Nayak
Artist
Anand Nayak is a multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, and GRAMMY-nominated producer living in Western Massachusetts. He grew up listening to his aunts play the songs of Joni Mitchell and Leonard Cohen, studying piano, singing in choirs, and performing in musicals. He fell in love with guitar as a teen, and has spent most of his time since trying to figure out how it—and every other instrument with strings—works. Anand performs throughout the U.S. and Canada with folk band Rani Arbo & daisy mayhem, has written and produced GRAMMY-nominated children’s records, music for television, and indie-folk and rock records, and is a proud member of The Folk Collective equity group at Club Passim. He has accompanied singers and musicians of all kinds on festival stages, concert halls, living rooms, and in the studio.
